Three important points - one clear amount. The calculator calculates everything automatically according to the 2026 rules to show you exactly how much money will actually enter your bank account.
Note: This calculator is intended only as a general guide. Its results cannot replace the precise personal calculations of a professional accountant or the official data from the National Social Security Institute (NOI).
You enter your gross salary under contract. With just one click, you indicate whether you have the required length of service, without having to calculate complex periods back in time.
The system automatically calculates your income per day according to the rules for 2026. It calculates exactly who pays what (the employer or the NSSI) and applies all statutory ceilings and maternity percentages.
You see the exact net amount that will actually enter your bank account. The calculator clearly shows where the money for specific days comes from, so you can plan your family budget with peace of mind.
By law, the state covers 80% of your income. In addition, there is a rule that sick pay per day cannot exceed your net daily remuneration. The calculator calculates this completely automatically so that you have no surprises.
The first 2 working days are paid by the employer (70% of your gross salary). From the 3rd day onwards, the payment is taken over by the state (80% based on your income from the last 18 months).
For the first 410 days, you receive 90% of your average salary for the last 24 months. After that, until the child turns 2, you move to a fixed amount from the state - 398.81 EUR for 2026, regardless of how much you earned before that.
Yes, if the sick leave is issued within 30 days after the end of the contract. In this case, the state pays everything from the first day, but for a maximum of 30 calendar days.
It is treated as a single period of illness. The employer does not pay for the first 2 days again. The state takes over the payment entirely from the first day of the extension (at 80%).
Yes, it reduces them. For the days of unpaid leave, the minimum wage is used, which lowers your average base. The calculator has a checkbox that takes this into account so you can get an accurate forecast.
Yes. When the child turns 6 months old, the father can take the remainder of the 410 days (he receives 90% of his salary). After that, until the child is 2 years old, he receives the fixed amount of 398.81 EUR.
You need at least 6 months of service for sick leave and 12 months for maternity leave. If you don't have them, the state does not pay compensation (except in case of a work accident). In the calculator there are "Yes" and "No" buttons, which immediately show whether you meet the conditions.
Yes. Since you don't have an employer, the state pays from the very first day, but only if you have made voluntary contributions for sickness and maternity. The amount depends on the income you chose to be insured on.
Yes. In addition to the required 6 or 12 months of service, you must not have any gaps in your social security contributions for sickness. Even one missed month can be a problem, so check your status before relying on the calculator's figures.
